The workshop: A program where technique and communication within the couple will boost your ease and complicity!
1.5 hours of traditional blues with Nicolas and Alina from Rennes.
° Beginner Level — Basic Skills
Think of dance as a system.
In this class, we’ll share our approach to building dance through connection, rhythms, and forms, to make your dancing more fluid, cohesive, and enjoyable for both partners.
° Intermediate Level — Triple
The triple step! Are you sure you’re exploring all the possibilities it offers in dance?
In this class, we’ll share the technical nuances of this rhythm, as well as various variations and transitions based on the triple step.
On the agenda: plenty of little technical gems to enrich your dance and improve your precision.
° Advanced Level — The Lag
Have you ever heard of “lag”?
We’ll explore this concept in depth to make your dance more fluid, logical, and of higher quality.
On the agenda: exercises to work on lag in your body, in your connection with your partner, and in relation to the music, as well as examples of variations we particularly love.
For the classes, we ask everyone to choose a leader or follower role, and to keep this role during the courses. For parties, if you want to switch, no problem:-)

On Saturday, June 13, starting at 10:30 p.m., we will have the pleasure of welcoming
Gabriel Pes (guitar and vocals) and Elie Coquard (harmonica)!!!
Gabriel Pes is a French musician, guitarist, and singer, co-founder of the band Hey Hey Mama in 2010.
He left his previous band to devote himself fully to the blues, welcoming other artists and creating the Pes Makers. He strives to keep the blues tradition alive with energy and modernity. He
enjoys exploring shuffles, powerful slow blues, and original compositions that respect the spirit of the genre's roots. His music and style reflect a deep respect for this century-old musical
genre.
On stage, Gabriel shares his passion for the grooves and emotions of blues with the audience, seeking to convey this love of music through lively performances.
Elie Coquard, a self-taught harmonica player, has been accompanying numerous artists on stage and in the studio for the past ten years. Influenced by the great names of blues
such as Sonny Boy Williamson II, Sonny Terry, and JJ Milteau, he captivates his audience at every performance, thanks in particular to his ability to improvise and adapt.
Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to share the stage with many nationally and internationally renowned artists such as Ladell McLin (USA), Martha Fields (USA), Tchale (Benin),
Luke Fenlon (UK), Manu Bertrand, Stéphane Notari, Mathis Haug, Benoit Nogaret, and others.
The Pes Maker Duo:
This acoustic blues duo brings together Gabriel Pes (guitar, slide guitar, vocals) and Elie Coquard (harmonica), two members of the Marseille blues band Les Pes Makers. Together, they offer a
refined and soulful reinterpretation of the great standards of Chicago blues, drawing in particular from the repertoires of Muddy Waters, Lurrie Bell, J.B. Lenoir, Buddy Guy, etc.
An authentic approach, focused on the groove, sound, and spirit of the blues!
